7 pack - Small Potatoes Zine Issues 1-7
This is my newest iteration and adaptation of the GRAPHITE zine series. As promised, and because it's a much different zine, I decided to change the name.
It's similar that it's an anthology of artists and creatives, aka "pencil pushers" although in this format, each issue only has room for 6 works, and I did my best to arrange and assort so they "sing", so to speak. More images and sneak peeks are on my Instagram account.
My intent with this second zine series was to be cheaper, and to do that meant being made on a copy machine. That also felt more like these were true zines, and the nature of the medium.
This is a 7 pack, 1 each of the series.

The SMALL POTATOES name, was sparked by a GRAPHITE contributor from Ireland who messaged me asking if he could participate. Roughly paraphrasing here, but the conversation was roughly: "Can I send a drawing, I am not a famous artist, just small potatoes?" I replied with enthusiasm, "Of course, please send something! You're in, no secret password, no cool kids only club type BS. Plus, don't small potatoes usually have more flavor?"
I originally sketched out a new GRAPHITE 2.0 cover design, and was making test prints, and it felt super mehhh. Like, I did that already, and this isn't that, it's different. It is smaller, but packed like a potato.
The cover design is one of those IYKYK things. Basically it's a play off of a smaller independent skateboard brand from my golden/glory years called SMALL ROOM. I had a few of the boards, and loved the brand. Hats off and a huge nod to those who made that happen, I wish I had one of those team decks with the similar design on these zines, red stain please.
